Biowax Production from the Hydrotreatment of Refined Palm Oil (RPO)

In this study, conditions were determined to obtain a solid wax with waxy ester content of more than 25% from the hydrotreating palm oil. The experiments conducted in pilot-scale fixed-bed reactor. influence temperature, liquid hourly space velocity (LHSV), and pressure on conversion triglycerides evaluated using nickel molybdenum catalyst (NiMo/Al2O3). variables between 240 260 °C, 1 2 h−1 41 55 bar, respectively.
